History

At a work end-of-year party, Marvet performed for the first time alone, with his voice and guitar. He had already participated in religious music groups and rehearsed with some garage bands, but it was when he faced an audience for the first time alone that Marvet decided that this would be his definitive path. He formed his first band, Doutor Watson, with whom he recorded his debut album in 2010, but which was only released years later, in 2018, when he was already pursuing a solo career. He also recorded his first music video, “Lady,” with Doutor Watson and achieved regional notoriety, opening shows for renowned bands such as Titãs, Dr Silvana & Cia, Colombia Coffee and Móveis Coloniais de Acaju.

Throughout his career, Marvet also dedicated himself to other arts, especially theater. He was part of the Cortejo Company, co-directing the shows "Alice Mandou Um Beijo" and "Antes da Chuva", the latter responsible for boosting the career of acclaimed director Rodrigo Portella, one of the biggest names in Brazilian theater today. Today, Marvet is responsible for directing the shows of the emerging company Três Por Quatro Teatro and maintains the production company TRIP Cultural, both based in the city of Três Rios (Rio de Janeiro) and of great relevance.

in the construction of the independent artistic and cultural scene in the interior.

His career as a singer-songwriter was also strongly marked by his encounter with Wado, one of the greatest exponents of the Brazilian independent scene in recent decades. Wado recorded three singles for Marvet, which were to be part of an EP whose recordings were interrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic. This change in plans led them to produce Marvet's first live album together, "Três Rios, Ao Vivo", recorded at the city's Casa de Cultura. Wado then produced another single for Marvet, "Farewell Song", his latest release and current song for his new show "Transit".

For the new tour, Marvet has assembled a team of big names in regional music in the respected band Meu Brasil, which has been with him since his previous show. Led by drummer and producer Rodrigo Oliveira, the line-up includes musicians Elizeu Cruz (double bass and trumpet), Douglas Lopes (guitar), Xandi Ribeiro (keyboards) and João Bahia (saxophone and transverse flute), as well as special guests.
